What is dirt work, exactly?
Dirt work is everything we do with soil before (and sometimes after) the next trade shows up: clearing, excavation, cut-and-fill, grading, drainage trenches, driveway base, ponds, and haul-off. If a machine is moving earth so a slab, road, or yard can work, that is the job.
Do you serve only Dallas?
We work the DFW metro and nearby acreage — Dallas, Fort Worth, Plano, Frisco, McKinney, Allen, Arlington, Denton, Celina, Prosper, Southlake, Flower Mound, and similar North Texas towns. If you are outside that ring, ask. Distance and access decide the quote, not a hard fence on a map.
Do I need 811 before you dig?
Yes. Public utility locates (811) happen before we trench or excavate. Private lines (irrigation, electric to a shop, septic) are on the property owner to mark. We will not guess where a unmarked line lives.
Who pulls permits?
It depends on the city and the scope. Simple backyard French drains are often unpermitted; ROW, floodplain, tree removal, and commercial grading usually are not. We tell you what we see. You own the permit unless we agree in writing to pull it.
How do quotes work?
Send the address, a few photos, and what you want the site to do when we leave. We walk or review, then quote a defined scope — not a mystery hourly that balloons when clay shows up. Change orders exist when the ground is not what anyone could see from the street.
What about rain?
North Texas clay turns to soup. We do not pretend we can finish-grade a bog. Rain delays protect your yard and our machines. We come back when it will hold a track.
Do you guarantee a pond will hold water?
We excavate to clay and build overflow the right way. We cannot warranty rainfall or a site that does not have clay. If a liner is the honest answer, we will say so before we dig a decorative crater.
How much experience does the crew have?
